A couple of weeks ago on Below Deck, Luke somehow left his overnight oats on his bosun’s sheets.
And then didn’t change them.
For four days.
I am going to assume everyone reading this understands that there was no Quaker involved.
Which brings us, naturally, to yesterday’s card.
It also made a mess where it shouldn’t have, and this morning somebody had to change the sheets.
We went 1-4.
The Mets won.
Everybody else apparently climbed into Luke’s bunk.
And unlike Luke, Bertie and I are not going to leave this sitting there for four days and hope nobody notices.
We’re changing the sheets.
The Autopsy
One of the reasons I started doing Don’t Pick What I Pick again wasn’t to see if an artificial intelligence and a guy in Las Vegas could suddenly crack the sports wagering code.
If that happens, fantastic.
I’ll let you know from my yacht.
Hopefully one where Luke isn’t responsible for changing the bedding.
The interesting part of this experiment is figuring out why we got something right or wrong.
Yesterday gave us plenty to work with.
Because 1-4 isn’t variance wearing a fake mustache.
We screwed some things up.
And strangely, I think that’s more useful than going 4-1 and spending this morning congratulating ourselves for being geniuses.
So let’s get the rubber gloves.
